Well there’s no denying we’re definitely in Winter and if you’re not lucky enough to live in warm weather all year round then you know your skin is feeling extra dry every time that cold air so rudely hits!
Fortunately we’re able to cover our bodies in layers but our faces are left to bare the cold winds and no matter how much moisturizer and sunscreen we may use, it’s inevitable our skin will dry out more during the winter months.
Whether you’re like me and like to hibernate during this season to totally avoid the cold or you actually enjoy facing the crisp air, it should be a priority of yours to always put your best face forward by treating yourself to a moisturizing face mask 1-2 times a week!
DIY face masks are the best because you more than likely already have the ingredients in your kitchen therefore you don’t have to leave the comfort of your own home! One of my fav. go-tos is an Avocado and Honey mask! Not only does it sound delicious but it works wonders for your skin!!
This mask literally takes just a few quick minutes to make (depending on your mashing skills) and only includes 3 ingredients!
1/2 -Ripe Avocado
2 Tbsp -Honey
1/2 Tsp -Coconut Oil
The avocado and coconut oil replenish moisture while the honey helps to soothe and heal any chafed areas you may have!
All you have to do is mash up the avocado until it’s creamy then add and blend in the honey & coconut oil! Apply to your clean,fresh face and leave on for about 10-15 minutes. During this wait you can go ahead and make a snack out of the other half of that avocado, might as well enjoy all of the health benefits an avocado has to offer!(Plus who doesn’t like to snack on guac and chips while masking?!) After, wash off with warm water and pat dry with a towel to reveal moisturized,healthy looking skin!
